Under the patronage of Prince Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, Zain KSA participated as a technical sponsor during the 1st E-commerce Forum organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha'at). The event, held at Dhahran Expo last Dec. 12–14, was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of e-commerce and support the transformation of the Kingdom's modern e-commerce sector to enhance its contribution to the local economy. As a technical sponsor, Zain KSA provided its 5G network services to participants and visitors during the forum, showcasing its services and special packages designed for SMEs entrepreneurs from the e-commerce sector through a dedicated pavilion. In recognition of Zain KSA's participation and on the behalf of Prince Saud Bin Nayef Al Saud, the Undersecretary of the Eastern province Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Battal and Majid bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment presented Zain KSA with an honorary shield received by Mr. Rayan bin Abdullah Al-Turki, Vice President of Communication at Zain KSA. On this occasion, Al-Turki stated that Zain KSA's sponsorship of the forum originates from its commitment towards supporting Saudi entrepreneurs through the SME sector. He described the forum as a unique platform that highlights the company's efforts and approach to support this vital sector. He added that "e-commerce forms one of the key tracks in Saudi Arabia's digital transformation efforts, with the Kingdom ranked 11th globally within this field. It is one of the key enablers of sustainable economic growth and is set to contribute towards job creation and stimulation of investments as outlined within Saudi Vision 2030." Al-Turki also expressed Zain KSA's pride as the first telecommunications company in the region to provide the largest 5G network coverage, stressing that this step will create a quantum leap in AI technologies and will upgrade various digital services and sectors including e-commerce. With the completion of the first phase of the 5G network, Zain KSA now offers distinctive packages of 5G services for individuals and businesses at competitive prices through a network of 2,600 towers distributed across 27 cities.
