‘Mr. Worldwide' returning to Saudi Arabia as Diriyah Music Festival gathers pace
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 11 - 2019

The Kingdom is gearing up to welcome back ‘Mr. Worldwide' as Pitbull joins the thrilling lineup for the Diriyah Music Festival, part of the epic month-long Diriyah Season.
On Nov. 29, the American rapper, famous for hits such as Taxi, Timber, On The Floor and Give Me Everything, will be joined on stage in the UNESCO World Heritage site on the outskirts of Riyadh by Jamaican reggae legend Shaggy (It Wasn't Me, Mr. Boombastic), Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Don Omar, whose hits include Bandaleros featured in the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and UK dance DJ Scott Forshaw.
For Pitbull his performance at the Diriyah Circuit will be a second visit to the Kingdom this year. The US rapper mesmerized his fans as performed at Dammam's Life Park as part of the Asharqiah Music Festival in March.
The Diriyah Music Festival is an electrifying series of concerts designed to complement the sporting events of the Diriyah Season. News that global mega band Imagine Dragons (Believer, Thunder, and Whatever It Takes) will kick off the festival by performing after day one of the Diriyah E Prix on Nov. 22 caused a sensation among fans in the Kingdom. They will be supported by DJ Alan Walker (Darkside, Are You Lonely, Faded) and British dance band Clean Bandit (Rather Be, Symphony and Rockabye).
On Nov. 23, Latin American music giant Maluma and regional sensation, Lebanese Canadian R&B/pop singer Massari, will follow day two of the Formula E racing.
Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) of Saudi Arabia, said: "The Diriyah Music Festival is a key part of bringing people together for Diriyah Season and it promises to be the biggest celebration of music in the Kingdom's history."
Standalone tickets for the Nov. 29 concert featuring Pitbull, Shaggy and Don Omar are on sale at www.diriyahseason.sa.
Meanwhile for the eye-catching Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 performances, tickets for the Diriyah E Prix include access to the after race concerts, and are also available at www.diriyahseason.sa.
Tickets for both exhilarating days of the Diriyah E Prix start from SR450 for single day Grandstand tickets, including grandstand seating with a view of all the action, access to the Allianz E-Village and off-track entertainment, and access to the post-race concert on the day featuring the international superstar. Two-day tickets are price at SR800, representing a saving of SR100.
Premium hospitality starts from SR2,500 for a single day package including valet parking, luxury indoor and outdoor lounges overlooking the Formula E track, complimentary tours of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site of At-Turaif, VIP dining and golden circle to the post-race concert. Two-day packages are priced at SR4,000.
And, the Boss Emotion Club returns with two-day packages only featuring VIP drop-off areas, exquisite fine dining in an incredible track-side location, exclusive pitlane walks, garage tours and driver access, plus the best access into the post-race concerts and a VIP viewing platform, priced at SR15,000.
The Diriyah Season is a month-long celebration of sport, kicking off with Formula E, followed by the World Heavyweight title clash between World Champion Andy Ruiz Jr and Anthony Joshua in The Clash On The Dunes, The Diriyah Tennis Cup and the elite Diriyah Equestrian Festival.
As well as the Diriyah Music Festival, the season features cultural festivities, food and retail experiences, and the stunning ‘Diriyah Oasis', a giant entertainment and art hub with fun for all the family.
Once again, the Bujairi district of Diriyah will be home to elegant fashion and retail, and the finest dining Saudi Arabia has to offer. And the DGDA will be staging tours of the fascinating and beautiful At-Turaif district, the UNESCO World Heritage site that stands as a symbol of Saudi's rich history.
Tickets for all of Diriyah Season's spectacular events and entertainment will be available at www.diriyahseason.sa with Formula E, Clash On The Dunes and Diriyah Tennis Cup tickets now on sale. Tickets for other events as well as season long tickets will be announced soon.
