The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) has specified the Saudi National Identity Card (Civil Status Card) and, for expatriates, the Residence Permit (Iqama), as the basic and sole identification documents for the insured person on seeking healthcare from health service providers as of Jan. 1, 2020, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday. This measure is meant to facilitate matters for insured persons to get healthcare easily and to raise clients' satisfaction. The Council has called upon all insured persons, including workers and employees in the private sector and their family members, to make use of the Council's social media channels in submitting their inquiries, registering any observations or remarks or lodging complaints.
