SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras — Second-half strikes from Carlo Costly and Jerry Bengtson saw Honduras erase a two-goal deficit for a stunning 2-2 draw with Mexico in a 2014 World Cup qualifier Friday. The draw left Honduras atop the six-nation final qualifying group in North and Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) with four points. In a heavy snow storm at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, the United States battled to a 1-0 win over Costa Rica with Clint Dempsey's 16th minute goal securing victory in Denver. The Costa Ricans were furious at the end of the game since the referee allowed the game to be played in such conditions. They said their federation would protest to FIFA about the referee's decision to continue with play in heavy snowfall. — AP
