Intigral, a leading provider of digital entertainment, sports and related solutions in MENA, has unveiled the launch of its new comedy series ‘Celebrity Studio' (Studio Al Mashaher) on its online platform ‘Jawwy TV'. After the great success and high ratings of the Saudi series "Galbat Jad" broadcasted a few months ago on Jawwy TV, the new humorous series, "Studio Al Mashaher", is the 2nd complete Saudi production to be presented on the platform.
Spread over 30 half-an-hour episodes, the show will add credit to the platform which aims at producing new entertaining and purposeful content to its audience. The comedy series will debut on Thursday, September 19 and will be broadcasted daily at 6:00 p.m. KSA. The show will feature an elite cast of Saudi actors including Rashed Al Shamrani, Hassan Assiri and Fayez Al Maliki.
The show places at its heart the struggles and challenges faced by culturally-committed modern media. Programs targeting issues of culture are typically over shine by the prevalence of entertainment programs, which normally attract more viewers. This issue is addressed throughout the series in a comic and amusing approach.
The main character, "Ms. Nawf", played by the very talented actress Ilham Ali, is shown to be the owner of a TV station on the verge of collapsing due to its inability to attract viewers. Events evolve as the lead character discovers that she has been deceived by a business man in the field of entertainment after being convinced to hand over the station in order to make profits. Finding out that the content of the programs broadcasted has been changed from cultural to entertainment, problems escalate between all involved partners, till the idea of launching a new program, "Studio Al Mashaher" arises. The main concept of the show focuses on hosting celebrity guest stars and displaying surprising and entertaining moments that occur during the show's production and performance in cooperation with production crew members during and after broadcast. The show will emphasize on the guests' reactions towards events inspired by their own character.
