The designs and technologies of the new airport are derived from the Kingdom's environment in general and the environment of Historical Jeddah, in particular.
The total area of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport project is approximately 105 sq. km. Phase One of the airport project comprises important and mega utilities.
They include a complex for passenger terminals with a total area of 810 sq. meters that will accommodate all the air carriers to work under one roof. A total area of 27,987 sq. meters inside the terminals complex will be allotted for commercial investment.
