JEDDAH – Prof. Chas Bountra, pro vice-chancellor, Innovation, of Oxford University has inaugurated the King Abdulaziz University – Oxford University ‘Future Scientist Internship Program', focusing on research and innovation. The event was organized recently at Oxford University in Britain. Prof. Bountra welcomed meritorious male and female students and several members of the teaching staff from King Abdulaziz University. He spoke on the importance of cooperation in science and innovation to solve problems and global health crises. Prof. Bountra stressed on the importance of the program in training male and female students in the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, like artificial intelligence and big data, in addition to developing their research and development skills in biological and medical sciences. The program comprises many scientific activities, including meetings with 30 of the senior scientists, in addition to six workshops, and visits to eight of Oxford University's research centers. The program also includes visits to get acquainted with business accelerators, the Technology Transfer Center and six startup companies at Oxford University.
