RIYADH – The National Center for Human Resources Development in Tourism (Takamul), an affiliate of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), earlier this week held a meeting with the officials of the Swiss Education Group, Saudi Press Agency said. The aim was to discuss cooperation in developing Saudi human capabilities working in the tourism sectors in order to enhance their presence and contribution to the advancement of this sector. The sector is expected to achieve advancement in comprehensive development that will serve the national economy. The Swiss group expressed its interest in developing Saudi manpower in tourism and hospitality and to work in the Kingdom, in line with a certain mechanism, through cooperation with Takamul Center at the SCTH. The Swiss side welcomed the inauguration of Takamul Center and discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding. This will benefit the government and/or private education and tourism training sector in the Kingdom, as well as transferring the pioneering Swiss experience to the Kingdom in the fields of tourism, hospitality and culinary arts. The Swiss group comprises the Swiss School of Hotel Management, Cesar Ritz Colleges, Montero Institute of Hospitality, Swiss Academy of Culinary Arts, and IHTTI School of Hotel Management. Thefive pioneering authorities in Switzerland occupy leading positions in the world ranking for the best education and training facilities in the fields of tourism, hospitality and culinary arts. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Takamul Center Nasser Al-Nashmi and from the Swiss side by the CEO of the Florent Rondez Group.
