Okaz/Saudi Gazette TAIF — The Ministry of Education has decided to enable expatriate students whose Iqamas have expired to be enrolled in schools and to continue their studies until the end of the academic year. The decision was urgently conveyed electronically to all the departments of education in all parts of the Kingdom until written instructions about the implementation modalities were made a couple of days from now. The ministry said it has communicated its decision electronically to the departments of education so that expatriate students will not lose any schooling day. The ministry asked the departments to direct their admission committees to enroll the expatriate students with expired iqamas in all schools and to allow them to continue studying until the end of the present academic year. It also said the Yemenis, staying in the Kingdom on visit visas, should be accepted in government schools which are not crowded while the Syrian students should be accepted in private schools on condition that their visit visas were renewed.
