Indicators at the ministry of justice revealed that over 250,000 digital Power of Attorney (PoA) have been issued online, since the launch of digital notarization service nine months ago. The ministry launched the digital notarization service, which allows low-risk electronic PoAs issuance, without the need to visit notarial offices. The ministry's initiative to digitize notarization services is part of the bigger plan to create ease and enhance efficiency in the legal sector in order to achieve the objectives of NTP 2020 in line with Vision 2030. The ministry had earlier revealed that digital transformation in notarial services would save around 8 million papers annually, which would not only boost convenience to ministry clients, but also protect the environment. Some of the e-notarization services includes, in addition to issuing electronic PoAs; checking the status of PoA, revoking a PoA in addition to checking PoA profile online to know which entities have checked out a specific PoA. — SPA
