Orioles 13, Indians 0 Chance Sisco homered and drove in five runs, Anthony Santander homered and had four RBIs, and Baltimore routed visiting Cleveland. Sisco hit a two-run homer in the first inning and an RBI single in the second against Cleveland starter Mike Clevinger (1-2), who lasted just 1 2/3 innings. The Orioles jumped to an 8-0 lead with two early four-run rallies. Baltimore had lost 13 of its previous 14 games, including the past three in a row. Orioles starter John Means (7-4) came off the injured list after recovering from a shoulder strain, and he threw five shutout innings. White Sox 6, Twins 4 Ross Detwiler pitched five strong innings to earn the victory in his Chicago debut, and James McCann and Eloy Jimenez hit two-run home runs in a home win over Minnesota. Miguel Sano hit a pair of two-run home runs for Minnesota, including one in the ninth inning that summoned White Sox closer Alex Colome, who retired the final three hitters to notch his 17th save in 18 opportunities. Detwiler (1-0) pitched five innings of six-hit, two-run ball with three strikeouts and no walks. The White Sox purchased the left-hander's contract from Triple-A Charlotte before the game. Athletics 7, Angels 2 Matt Olson had two home runs and five RBIs before the end of the third inning, helping visiting Oakland cruise to a victory over Los Angeles in Anaheim, Calif. Olson connected against Angels opener Noe Ramirez in the first inning for a two-run homer, then hit a three-run homer in the third off Felix Pena, raising his season total to 16. That was all that Oakland starter Mike Fiers needed. The only offense the Angels could muster against Fiers (8-3) came in the sixth inning when Shohei Ohtani reached on an infield single, took second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Albert Pujols, cutting Oakland's lead to 5-1. Lynn (10-4) allowed three hits, struck out 10 and walked one while reaching double digits in wins for the seventh straight season. He left after throwing 112 pitches in his longest outing of the season in terms of innings. Jose Leclerc pitched around a ninth-inning walk to complete the shutout. Coming off a marathon 18-inning, 5-2 victory at Minnesota on Thursday, the Rays didn't manage an extra-base hit until the eighth inning in losing for the 12th time in their past 17 games. Pirates 3, Brewers 2 Kevin Newman drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, and visiting Pittsburgh rallied for a win against Milwaukee. Newman also homered, Bryan Reynolds had three hits and a walk, and Adam Frazier had two hits for the Pirates, who have won seven of their past eight. Soroka retired the first 10 batters he faced before Pete Alonso homered to close the Braves' lead to 3-1. Marlins 6, Phillies 2 Brian Anderson homered, doubled and drove in three runs to lead Miami to a victory over visiting Philadelphia. Garrett Cooper had three hits and two RBIs for the Marlins, who snapped a three-game slide. The loss snapped the Phillies' four-game winning streak. Miami starter Elieser Hernandez (1-2) scattered three hits in 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs. Hernandez struck out seven and walked two. Phillies starter Vince Velasquez (2-5) allowed four runs, six hits, struck out six and walked two in 4 1/3 innings. Nationals 3, Tigers 1 Anibal Sanchez pitched six strong innings in his return to Comerica Park, Juan Soto blasted a solo homer, and Washington handed host Detroit its eighth straight loss. Sanchez (4-6) pitched for the Tigers from 2012-17. He had never previously faced Detroit in his long career. The right-hander gave up one run on six hits and one walk while striking out eight. Howie Kendrick supplied two hits and an RBI for the Nationals, who have won nine of their past 11 games. Nicholas Castellanos' homer accounted for the lone Detroit run. The Tigers have lost 21 of their last 23 home games. Astros 2, Mariners 1 (10 innings) Yuli Gurriel hit a walk-off home run with one out in the 10th inning, and Houston survived another sluggish offensive effort to beat visiting Seattle. Gurriel drilled a 2-2 fastball from Matt Festa (0-2) out to left field for his eighth home run on the season, making a winner of Will Harris (2-1) and saving the Astros from another tough loss. Houston has scored just four runs over its past three games. Josh Reddick breathed life back into the Astros with his two-out, eighth-inning home run — his 10th. Seattle's Austin Nola hit his first career homer in the third inning for the game's first run. Padres 3, Cardinals 1 Fernando Tatis Jr. and Eric Hosmer hit back-to-back homers off Michael Wacha in the sixth inning to power host San Diego to a win over visiting St. Louis. The home runs erased a 1-0 Cardinals lead that came on a fourth-inning run that erased a season-worst streak of 19 straight scoreless innings by St. Louis. Wacha (5-4) took the loss despite allowing only two runs on six hits and a walk with two strikeouts over seven innings. Padres starter Eric Lauer needed 98 pitches to negotiate four innings.
