JEDDAH — A daylong event for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs will take place at Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College, Jeddah, on Saturday. Dubbed the Saudi Final of the upcoming Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), the biggest and most diverse global competition dedicated to entrepreneurs with 100,000 entrants from 170 countries, will feature Pitch competitions, panel discussions, hands-on sessions, networking and an awards ceremony. Run by the Misk Global Forum (MGF) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, EWC offers a virtual incubator program and tools to help entrants launch, strengthen and scale their enterprises. National finals with pitch competitions are being held in up to 100 countries. The European Regional Finals were held at VivaTech Paris in May. National finals have already been held in Bahrain and Uzbekistan. Further events are planned for countries including India, China and the United States. The EWC Final will take place at the MGF annual gathering in Riyadh in November. Prizes include training, resources, networking and connection opportunities, investment, and cash, totaling $5 million. Winners of the Saudi National Final will receive prizes ranging from cash to services, alongside entry into the global final. The daylong event will start at 10 a.m. and continue till 6 p.m.
