JAZAN — Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, visited on Tuesday the southern border region to offer the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to the Armed Forces personnel on the advent of the Eid Al-Fitr. Upon arrival at the Jazan Sector of the Armed Forces in the southern region, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Bin Muhammad, deputy emir of Jazan, Lt. Gen. Prince Fahd Bin Turki Bin Abdulaziz, commander of the Joint Forces, as well as senior commanders and officers of the armed forces in the southern region. The Crown Prince conveyed the Eid greetings and appreciation of King Salman to the members of the armed forces. Expressing his happiness over the visit to join in their Eid celebration, the Crown Prince appreciated the heroic role being played by them in protecting the homeland and its holy sites. Minister of the National Guard Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar and Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman accompanied the Crown Prince during the visit. Also on Tuesday, the Crown Prince received senior officials of the Ministry of Defense and commanders of the Armed Forces, who came to greet him on the advent of the Eid at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah. During the reception, the Crown Prince conveyed to them the greetings of King Salman, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of the Eid Al-Fitr. Prince Khalid Bin Salman, deputy minister of defense, also attended the reception. The officials included Assistant Minister of Defense Mohammed Al-Ayesh; Advisor to the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the Defense Minister's Office Fahd Al-Issa; Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili; Advisor to Defense Minister's Office and Director of the Special Affairs Department Khalid Al-Rayes; Assistant Defense Minister for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Bayari; Deputy Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Mutlaq Azima'a; Commander of the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Lt. Gen. Eid Al-Shalawi; and commanders of the Armed Forces branches.
