Zain KSA signed a cooperation agreement with King Khalid University as part of Zain University Development program, to implement a number of development and training programs for students as well as sponsoring social activities. Saud Al-Bawardi, Chief Operation Officer in Zain KSA, said the agreement comes as part of the company's efforts to fully deliver its social responsibilities, especially toward young Saudi students, considering they are the essential foundation for the national and economic development. He also praised the Saudi higher education institutions efforts to serve the Saudi youth, while hoping to expand this sort of cooperation with various universities in the Kingdom. Al-Bawardi said the company seeks, through Zain University Development Program, to provide all the necessary experience for young Saudis during their time at the university, in order to help them gain all the scientific and business experience during an early stage. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Daoud, King Khalid University rector, said the agreement is important for the university's staff and students, adding that KKU are always working to serve their students. He pointed out that all the companies in the private sector in the Kingdom should join forces with the public sector to serve the society as part of their social responsibilities. Zain KSA established a number of programs for undergraduates, such as Zain University Development Program, (Shabab Tamouh), and 4G Engineers, in order to hone their skills, and provide them with the experiences they need which would benefit them and the community in general. — SG
