International Hospitals Construction Company (IHCC), a solutions provider in design and development of healthcare facilities, has received the Best Healthcare Project Award for the development of the new project Saudi German Hospital in Ajman, UAE. IHCC CEO Sultan Batterjee received the award from MEED Projects, the organizer of the awards. Saudi German Hospital Ajman is AED300 million worth hospital is the 3rd healthcare facility of Saudi German Group in the UAE, and 10th in the MENA region. ‘The recognition from MEED is of high value because they provide unbiased analysis and commentary on Middle Eastern markets, companies, people and data on the regional projects market,' said Sultan Batterjee. The hospital, which was inaugurated by Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid, the Ruler of Ajman and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, is one of the biggest in Ajman, offering state of the art tertiary and critical care. SGH Ajman covers over 41,000 square meters with plans to expand vertically and horizontally. Saudi German Hospital boasts of 200 inpatient beds, the largest in Ajman, with the infrastructure and capacity to double the number if and when the need arises. The hospital also houses 40 ICU beds, a state-of-the-art Cath Lab – which covers vascular, cerebral and cardiac intervention – 46 OPD clinics, and a 24/7 Emergency department. The Operation Theatre comprises 4 operations rooms, 6 recovery units and 2 isolation rooms. Sultan Batterjee highlighted that SGH Ajman has the facility of 10 open gardens for the speed recovery of the patients and the hospital is designed in a unique manner to ensure that the natural light is utilized maximum which will result in 25-30% of the energy consumption SGH Ajman new and revolutionary technologies and facilities serve the residents of northern emirates, as it is addressing the gap in medical and surgical needs in the emirates.
