JEDDAH — Young Star Cricket Club lifted the 10th TCF FSN Champions Trophy 2019 by beating Royal Fighter Jeddah by 7 wickets at BMT Floodlight ground here. The championship was organized by Tellichery Cricket Forum (TCF) under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC). Young Star won the toss in final and surprisingly invited Royal Fighter to bat first. Royal Fighter openers started carefully and did not lose a wicket till the first five overs but scoring rate was not impressive. Young Star bowlers kept a tight line and length. After openers managed 38 runs Abdul Rahman broke the partnership by removing both openers in successive deliveries. Star batsman Shams fought till the end but couldn't put on a fighting total. He scored 32 off 17. Amir Rasheed contributed 17 off 18 and Mohammed Waqas 14 off 19. Abdul Rahman claimed 2 for 13 runs in his 3 overs. Ibrar Ul Haq and Amjed took one wicket each. In chasing the low target, opener Syed Rizwi and Amir Siddiq provided a flying start for Young Star. In second over, Amir Munir removed Syed Rizwi (19 off 12) but Asif Ali was in a hurry to finish the match. He remained unbeaten on 30 from 17, while Amir Siddiq contributed 12 off 6. Young Star chased down the target in the seventh over by losing only three wickets. Amir Munir claimed 2 wickets. Young Star bowler Abdul Rahman was named the Player of Final for his impressive bowling spell (3-0-13-2). The colorful final day was graced by a host of guests.
