ON the National Day of Pakistan, I wish to convey my heartiest felicitations to the fellow Pakistanis, specifically those residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. March 23, 1940 signifies a milestone in our national history; the day when the Muslims of the subcontinent decided to focus all their energies on the realization of the dream of Allama Iqbal for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. Seven years of struggle by the Muslims, under the relentless leadership of Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, ended with independence for Pakistan on Aug. 14, 1947. The historic feat of achieving Pakistan through democratic means, however, was just a beginning. With the hard work and sincerity of its people, Pakistan has emerged as a prominent member in the comity of nations. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have deep rooted brotherly relations; encompassing a wide range of common strategic, political, and economic objectives. The recent visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman harbors hope for further deepening of cooperation between the two countries. With the support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, Pakistan wishes to have a valuable partnership with Saudi Arabia for the realization of shared developmental goals. I would like to acknowledge as well the valuable contribution of the vibrant and dynamic Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia. They are serving both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia with loyalty, commitment and dedication. They are a strong link between the two countries. Pakistan Consulate has always strived to reinforce our community by providing best possible services. The consular and welfare services have been made more efficient for quick redressal of issues. I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to the Pakistan community in the Kingdom for their future endeavours. Let us pledge to enhance our efforts to further deepen relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. We pray for the security and prosperity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Long live Pakistan Long live Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Friendship Shehryar Akbar Khan
