JEDDAH – Mitsubishi vehicles distributor Alesayi Motors announced recently the conclusion of a dealership agreement with the Taiwanese giant carmaker CMC for marketing its family flagship model Z7 in Saudi Arabia starting from 2013. The agreement was signed by Bandar Saeed Alesayi, Vice President of Alesayi Motors, and Kuo Chi Wong, Vice Chairman of CMC, who visited Saudi Arabia along with a high-level delegation for signing the agreement, as well as to discuss the potential of expanding the relationship between both companies. Under the agreement, Alesayi will be an exclusive dealer for the family car Z7, a 7-seat multipurpose (MPV) car dedicated to meet the growing need for high quality and spacious cars that are perfect for value-conscious Saudi families. Bandar said “after an in-depth study of the market, we are sure that a value-orientated roomy car such as this will be highly sought-after here. The powertrain is supplied by Mitsubishi Motors so we know the quality and strength of the car and of course, because of this, we have full parts availability.” He added:” We have a network of integrated centers in the main cities of Saudi Arabia, including service and spare parts facilities. We shall utilize all of our resources and our vast experience, which goes back to more than 50 years, to ensure the success of this great family car.” CMC was founded in June 1969, and signed a technology sharing contract with Mitsubishi Motors the following year. Its production capacity reached more than 100,000 vehicles per year. This was a good indicator of the rapid growth which has been accompanied by the emergence of Taiwan as an industrial and economic power in the world. CMC's has become recognized as one of the fastest growing carmakers in Taiwan. Wong said: “We have been very warmly welcomed by the people of Saudi Arabia and we have all the confidence in our future in Saudi Arabia, as well as our new partner Alesayi Motors.” He added that “with high-quality manufacturing values, a flexible 7-seat layout and great value for money, I am sure that Z7 will be a fantastic success here.” “We are aware of the fierce competition in the Saudi market, but we have big ambitions and hope to get a fair share of the market volume,” he noted. – SG
