RIYAD Bank's board of directors has appointed Tariq Al Sadhan as the chief executive officer effective from 01/04/2019, as successor to Abdulmajeed A AlMobarak, who has decided to step down from his position as CEO effective from March 31. The board of directors of the bank has expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to AlMobarak for his efforts and dedication during his 25 years of service. In view of the recent announcement of the merger discussion between Riyad bank and the National Commercial Bank (NCB), the board has decided that AlMobarak continues with the bank in overseeing the bank's merger discussions team. Al Sadhan is certified by SOCPA and CPA as well he has over 22 years of experience in the financial sector including banks, auditing, tax and financial management consulting. He had worked as CFO of Riyad Bank in early 2018. In addition, he had served in the public sector in several leading positions as the advisor of the Chairman of SFD's Board of Directors, Director General of GAZT, and Deputy Governor of Supervision of SAMA. Moreover, he has over 18 years of experience at KPMG Saudi Arabia leading senior positions in which the last position was the CEO and the chairman of the Advisory Committee. Al Sadhan has a master's degree in executive business administration from Ecole des Ponts Business School - France, high diploma in International Trade from Edinburgh University - United Kingdom, and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University.
