MAKKAH — There were 35 incidents where vehicles were driving into oncoming traffic during a 90-minute period at the entrance of Makkah's Wadi Jaleel neighborhood, according to the director of Makkah traffic police. Col. Salman Al-Jemaiei said traffic police were intensifying their efforts to crack down on such violations during the Umrah season. Police were able to stop unlicensed goods trucks from entering the central area during peak hours. He pointed out that a large area in Al-Ghazzah neighborhood has been allocated as parking for visitors of the Grand Mosque.
