JEDDAH — The Kuwaiti Consulate General held a reception to mark the country's 52nd Independence Day and 22nd Liberation Day Thursday evening. Consul General Saleh Ali Al-Saqaaby, his deputy and consulate staff welcomed the guests. Prince Sultan Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, Jeddah Chamber Chairman Saleh Kamel, senior officials, diplomats as well as many prominent Saudi businessmen and media personnel attended the event at Jeddah Hilton. Farid Azhar, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah province, was also present. The ceremony began with the national anthem of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. GCC diplomats then cut the celebration cake. The ceremony reflected the overwhelming love and brotherhood between the people of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The large number of participants was an indication of the depth of historical relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.
