BERLIN — Bayern Munich routed Werder Bremen 6-1 Saturday to maintain its march to the German title and help Jupp Heynckes celebrate his 1,000th Bundesliga game as player or coach. Arjen Robben scored in the 25th and sent in a free kick for Javi Martinez to double the lead four minutes later. Bremen's Sebastian Proedl was sent off before the break, fellow defender Theodor Gebre Selassie scored an own goal in the 49th. Mario Gomez made it 4-0 three minutes later, before Kevin de Bruyne scored for Bremen in the 58th — the first goal Bayern has conceded this year in the league. Franck Ribery and Gomez added two more in the last four minutes to complete the rout. Bayern had rested half a dozen stars but still romped to the huge win to go 18 points clear at top. Heynckes was still not satisfied. “It's annoying that we didn't keep another clean sheet,” he told Sky Sports. Stuttgart drew 1-1 with Nuremberg, Hannover routed Hamburger SV 5-1, Wolfsburg drew 1-1 at Mainz, and Augsburg beat Hoffenheim 2-1. On Friday, Eintracht Frankfurt drew 0-0 at Freiburg to hold off the home side's challenge for the Bundesliga's last Champions League place. "The draw was fair," Frankfurt coach Armin Veh said. "We didn't allow anything in the first half, Freiburg were better in the second." Frankfurt's Stefan Aigner — who had a goal ruled out for offside early on — could only hit the side-netting after racing toward goal in the 17th minute. Freiburg improved after the break and almost scored from a corner in the 64th, when Stefano Celozzi cleared Jan Rosenthal's header off the line. One minute later, he did it again, this time from Mattias Ginter. Sociedad beats Bilbao Real Sociedad fought back to claim a long-coveted 3-1 victory at Athletic Bilbao in the 66th and final Basque Country derby to be played at San Mames stadium Friday. Bilbao bossed the opening stages of the match and went ahead through Ibai Gomez's vicious volley at the half-hour mark. But Antoine Griezmann headed Sociedad level four minutes later, and striker Imanol Agirretxe then gave the visitors the lead in the 66th thanks to an error by goalkeeper Raul Fernandez. Substitute Carlos Vela added another goal 10 minutes later. San Mames is to be torn down and replaced by a new stadium at the end of this season. — Agencies
