Saudi Telecom Company (STC) launched a new and distinctive offer for prepaid data SIMs (Quick Net Light) customers where they can get free Quick Net package with a free recharge credit effective last Saturday (Feb. 16) and for 2 months. The offer features free 1 GB and free recharge credit upon recharging with certain amount cards and allows customers get free 10 GB and a free recharge credit upon recharging with certain amounts. In case of recharge, the customer will get SMS notifying the free recharge credit and the free Quick Net package as well. In addition, the customer can track the remaining credit of his free data package by inquiring about the SIM credit. The customer's access to the offer shall be for once per one single SIM within the offer time. The launch of this offer reflects STC's commitment to the continued development of services to meet customers' expectations, including the internet services of speeds up to 42 Mbps due to exceptional 3G and 4G network coverage throughout Saudi populated areas. Meanwhile, STC said its network has recorded the region's top broadband data traffic volume, as it passed 3,000 TB. STC said it aims to roll out its network by the end of 2014 to 95 percent of Saudi populated areas. STC said its fiber optical coverage totals more than 2,700 sites all over the kingdom.
