Mohammad Al-Enezi Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — New Eastern Province Emir Prince Saud Bin Naif has extended his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for giving him the new position. After his arrival Sunday night at King Abdulaziz Airbase in Dhahran, Prince Saud beseeched Allah Almighty to enable him to serve citizens in the province and to contribute to its development. He added that King Abdullah told him, when he took the oath, that the citizen is most important when carrying out his duties. At his reception were Assistant Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province Prince Jalawi Bin Abdulaziz, princes, scholars and civil and military officials. Prince Saud said that he would visit the cities and governorates of the Eastern Province. The prince began his new duties Monday, succeeding Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd who was relieved of his duties. The Eastern Province celebrated Prince Saud's arrival. The prince's support for charities never stopped, even when he was ambassador to Spain. He has contributed SR500,000 to Al-Bir Charity Society over the past five years. Prince Saud also donated half a million riyals to the charity to help the handicapped. The Prince Sultan Complex for Rehabilitation was built with the prince's support. The complex consists of a rehabilitation center, daycare center for children, vocational training center for women, physical therapy unit and psychological therapy unit. The complex operates in coordination with the Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd Center for Rehabilitation.
