NEW DELHI — Field hockey's world body FIH is planning a tournament for the world's top clubs that would see India emerge as a hub for the sport, according to media reports. The Indian Express quoted FIH chief Leandro Negre as saying that the Club World Cup could be held in India from as early as next year and that they would "make an announcement shortly." The FIH has already carved out a three-week window in the sport's calendar for the ongoing Hockey India League, which involves the world's top players representing five city-based franchises: Delhi Waveriders, Jaypee Punjab Warriors, Uttar Pradesh Wizards, Mumbai Magicians and Ranchi Rhinos. — AP
