The Taif Shariah Court sentenced an Arab expatriate to 65 lashes in a public place for having an illicit relationship with an Indonesian maid. The expatriate and the maid became acquainted on the phone, according to the court documents. He traveled to a remote area in the north of Taif to meet the maid who works for a family.
