The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Khamis Mushayt's Industrial Estate raided a liquor distillery in Al-Mathnah District. Commision officials had been observing the residence for some time. Two Indians allegedly distilling liquor in a house were apprehended and six tons of liquor were found in addition to distilling equipment, pipes, large pressure cookers and large quantities of yeast and sugar. Sources said one of the arrested bootleggers had escaped earlier from a location in Abha during a Commision raid. The other driver was using his employer's car to supply to distributors the liquor they produced. The liquor was destroyed and the two apprehended Indian nationals were handed over to Khamis Mushayt Police. Neighbors did not know the house was being used as a distillery because the windows of the house were covered with black plastic garbage bags and were tightly sealed. – Okaz __
