The Kingdom is currently experiencing a manifold rise in the demand for electricity, which is anticipated to be growing at an alarming rate of 8 percent annually, coupled with 70 percent of residential power consumption being used for air conditioning, ventilation and power heating. Also, with more than 1.5 million new homes needed to keep pace with population growth, domestic energy demand in Saudi Arabia is anticipated to double by 2030.
