JEDDAH – Two Yemeni cab drivers have been accused by Jeddah Criminal Court of kidnapping teenage girls and blackmailing their families into paying ransoms for their release. The cab drivers were arrested shortly after a family reported their 13-year-old girl missing. Police officers successfully identified the location of the girl and her kidnappers and found several girls locked up in the same apartment. During investigations, the drivers admitted they abducted girls from different places in Jeddah and demanded ransoms for their release. Officers are searching for a woman who aided the men. The prosecutor said both cabdrivers had an illicit relationship with a teenage girl and saved pictures of several girls on their cell phones. He demanded the court deliver a strong verdict against them.
