King Abdullah Center in Disabled Children Association here on Wednesday started a program of “Try the Chair” as part of Jeddah summer festivities at Red Sea Mall. “The program aims to highlight the problems and difficulties faced by the disabled sections of the society,” Salwa Al-Mohammad, Director of King Abdullah Center said. Hashim Abdu Hashim, Board Member and Chairman of the Media Committee, said the program seeks to create kind of communication between the community and disabled people and discuss their needs. “The program focuses on the obstacles facing them and seek to find possible solutions to achieve optimal social adjustment for them and ways to facilitate communication between them and society,” Hashim said. “Disabled people face lot of difficulties and others can't realize their real suffering unless they find themselves in the same mold. A sense of alienation and isolation creeps in among these unfortunate people. Our attempt is to remove that sense of alienation from their minds so that they move up in society,” Salwa said. __
