TRIPOLI — Britain's National Security Adviser Kim Darroch was in Tripoli Wednesday for talks with Prime Minister Ali Zidan on security collaboration. He also met with First Deputy Prime Minister Sadiq Abdulkarim. The talks also focussed on security and how Britain could help Libya in the field. According to the Libyan news agency, LANA, Zidan and Darroch looked at ways of putting relations between the two countries on a new basis. Darroch also had talks with the Interior Minister Ashour Shuwail. The two focussed on British efforts to assist Libya in ensuring security. Shuwail praised Britain or its support in the area and said that it would have a role to play in the establishment of security and stability in Libya. Also currently in Tripoli is a UK maritime delegation which has been visiting the Libyan navy. The various participating companies are looking in particular at providing naval training. — Libya Herald
