JEDDAH – The World Finance Magazine has chosen the National Commercial Bank (NCB) as one among the best 100 companies and personalities in the world for 2012. Abdulkareem Abu Alnasr, Chief Executive Officer of NCB, said that this global recognition shows the increased trust of customers in the Arab world's leading bank. NCB received the award at a grand ceremony held in the presence of several international experts and top executives in London recently. Abu Alnasr said the bank was picked for the prestigious prize by a panel of international financial and banking experts. The jury specially considered NCB's commitment to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and implementing projects for young Saudis through creating a free work culture, in addition to the bank's sustained policy and competitiveness. “The jury also appreciated the bank's commitment to pursue social responsibility initiatives in the health and education sectors besides putting customer satisfaction as the basic strategy and laying emphasis on quality of service, in addition to developing potential of its employees,” he said. Abu Alnasr further said this achievement is the result of concerted efforts by employees to further improve the bank's performance. “The confidence of our customers is always the basic catalyst that drives us towards excellence,” he added. — SG
