Panasonic's Portable Power Supply brings ‘new life' to mobile devices
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 20 - 01 - 2013

PANASONIC Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) unveiled its highly anticipated series of Portable Power Supply packs which give consumers the ability to communicate and connect on the go despite low mobile battery.
The easy-to-use and compact Portable Power Supply allows users of smartphones (such as iPhone*1*6, Blackberry*2*6, and Galaxy*3*6), tablet PCs (such as iPad*1*6), digital cameras (such as Lumix*4*6), portable game consoles (such as PSP*5*6) and MP3 players (such as iPod*1*6) to charge on-the-go their gadgets, wherever they are.
The highest-capacity model in the series, QE-QL301, can provide enough power to fully charge a smartphone four times*1*2 on a single charge, twice the capacity of the company's current model*3. In addition, Panasonic's Portable Power Supply is rechargable and can be used repeatedly approximately 500 times*7.
Powered by portable reserved batteries via USB/AC power point, with built-in USB terminals and an associated micro USB attachment, the Portable Power Supply is compatible with most electronic devices.
The new Portable Power Supply packs will be available in 3 models – each with a varying battery capacity – and are slated for release in Saudi Arabia by February 2013.
The QL-201 model is ideal for the heavy users, as it can charge a 1400mAh battery capacity smartphone two times.
The device can also charge tablets and equipped with two USB outputs, allowing to charge two USB gadgets at once.
QL-101 model serves needs of the frequent users and can charge a 1400mAh battery capacity smartphone one time. This device is especially easy to carry around as it has a retractable USB cable. QL-102 model is perfect for the occasional users, allowing to charge a 1400mAh battery capacity smartphone for 60 percent.
Hayashi Noriyuki, Manager, System Solutions Department, said “the mobile phone industry has gone through a major revamp and grown exponentially over the recent years. It is a popular and demanding market and with this rise there has been a growing concern over the battery life among users.
Considering this situation, the market for auxiliary power supplies is expanding rapidly and there has been particular interest in rechargeable power supplies. In line with this, Panasonic's Portable Power Supply offer an ideal solution to extend the battery life whilst enabling consumers to enjoy the benefit of easy portability, compatibility and convenience at all times.” — SG
