MANILA — Actress Anne Curtis, who will portray a stepmother for the first time, admitted that her newest television role is her most challenging yet. Curtis, who will play the role in the upcoming ABS-CBN series “Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw” (It's you I need), told ABS-CBN that she found the role completely different from her “wild child” roles. “You know, I had so many wild child roles and I love doing it because it involves different stories of a wild child each time,” she was quoted by ABS-CBN as saying.. “This time it's different because there's a time lapse,” she sad, adding that in the current TV flick the child becomes a stepmother. Curtis said she was thrilled with her role in “Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw”, which also stars Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino and will hit the TV screen on January 28. “I get nervous and at the same time excited to find out people's reaction. It's exciting to think that many people are looking forward to it,” she confided. Aside from “Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw,” Curtis is also promoting her international film “Blood Ransom” which will be shown in movie theaters this year. — SG
