YANBU — The Indonesian Consulate has appointed three lawyers to defend a housemaid accused of murdering a child in Yanbu. The suspect is accused of stabbing four-year-old Tala in her neck before attempting suicide. In spite of confessing to the crime, which was recorded by the Yanbu courts, the three lawyers will defend the suspect at the Shariah Court trial. The victim's father is demanding the death penalty.
