MANILA — Sam Concepcion is ready to take his career beyond Philippine shores. The 20-year-old singer and stage actor is prepping up for Indonesian stardom, just like fellow ABS-CBN crooner Christian Bautista was able to achieve. “I'm releasing my album this year. It's totally different from the way I used to sound. It's a new sound and a new look for me as a recording artist. That's one thing that my fans can look forward to,” Concepcion told Push.com.ph. Six years ago, Concepcion won the “Kapamilya” kiddie talent search “Little Big Star,” of which Charice Pempengco is also an alumna. — SG
