Police arrested two Saudi men for impersonating police investigators and cheating expatriates in Al-Ma'beda district Sunday. “We received many complaints from people stopped by these men,” said Zaki Al-Rehaili, spokesperson of Makkah police. The victims reported the men would stop them and say, “We are investigation officials, show us your Iqama.” They would ask several questions to scare the expats then they would demand money to return the Iqama. In another incident, Makkah police arrested a Saudi and a Pakistani for driving private cars as taxis and then threatening passengers for money. “The two men were jobless. One was a Saudi and the other was a Pakistani,” Al-Rehaili said. “They started this fraud last week.” The arrested men are being investigated further. __
