Scanners to improve business document workflow rolled out
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 29 - 12 - 2012

RIYADH – Epson launched its latest range of A3 and A4 document scanners in Saudi Arabia, offering businesses a choice of specifications and features to best suit their needs. Both models are designed to improve efficiency and integrate seamlessly into document management and cloud systems.
High-performance models for demanding businesses.
Fitting easily into complex IT systems, these high-performance models handle heavy-duty scanning with ease. The A3-size WorkForce DS-70000 scans up to 70ppm/140ipm, while the A4-size WorkForce DS-7500 scans up to 40ppm/80ipm. To speed up large batch scanning, both offer one-pass duplex scanning, HW JPEG compression and double-feed detection, plus an automatic document feeder with a capacity of 200 A3 pages (WorkForce DS-70000) or 100 A4 pages (WorkForce DS-7500 Series). Multiple users can share the scanners using the optional Network Interface Panel. Alternatively, network-ready models are available: WorkForce DS-70000N and DS-7500N.
Epson Document Capture solutions are compatible with both models to speed up workflow and enable users to capture, convert and distribute scanned information in virtually any document repository or document management system. Epson offers tailored client and server solutions that meet companies' needs, regardless of their size or IT capabilities.
When combined with Document Capture Pro, the optional Network Interface Panel offers ‘push scan' features and customization of ‘scan to job' commands, such as ‘scan to email', ‘scan to Microsoft SharePoint' and ‘scan to cloud'.
Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, said: “The two new scanners are packed with Epson technology that enables complex tasks to be carried out easily, without the need for any special training. This will help organizations in Saudi Arabia speed up workflow and improve efficiency.”
Epson ReadyScan LED technology needs no warm-up time, does not contain mercury, and has low power consumption. Along with the scanners' Energy Star-qualified power efficiency, this reduces energy bills and impact on the environment. – SG
