Ex-Miss Sri Lanka obsessed with olives
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 23 - 12 - 2012

MUMBAI — Sri Lankan actress and model Jacqueline Fernandez has a rather queer obsession: olives. While shooting for Ramesh Taurani's yet-to-be-titled film in Turkey, the actress was constantly gorging on the fruit.
Her fascination with olives grew to such an extent that even after returning to India, Fernandez demanded her producers to purchase olives for her on a daily basis. Jay Shewakramani, the creative producer of the film, said that once, Fernandez called and asked him to get olives at around 8:30 in the morning. She threatened not to leave the room and shoot for the song if he did not get her the fruit, he said. The former Miss Sri Lanka, who made her debut in Bollywood in 2009, even wanted the sets to be adorned with olives. — SG
