DAMMAM — The prospect of losing their housemaid following an oversight that led to the expiry of the maid's exit-re-entry visa, and the possible lengthy process of hiring a new housemaid, saw the family go the extra mile in correcting the oversight after asking the maid if she wished to return. When the housemaid accepted the offer to return, the family members were overjoyed, and they showed their appreciation on the maid's return by throwing a party last week, Al-Yaum newspaper reported, showing that the two were made for each other. The icing on the cake, which was brought for the occasion, was that the family and the maid were happy that it all worked out especially during these difficult times of getting fresh visas for maids from Southeast Asia. — SG
