RIYADH – In line with the government's thrust of creating jobs for Saudis, the Saudi Entrepreneurs Community (SEC), founded by Sheikh Dr. Mustafa bin Mohammad Al Taji, Chairman of Board of Al Taj Holding Company and SEC Director, aims to instill business skills among young Saudis. “Our philosophy is to build the world's most influential entrepreneurial community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligned with our working methodology of teaching entrepreneur development programs to young Saudis… exclusively to Saudi disabled entrepreneurs… to become business persons” and become job providers rather than jobseekers. SEC's mission is to establish entrepreneurship skills and mind-set in young Saudis and support a network of literate cultured society with skilled collaborations, all committed to the principle that a nation's greatest assets is its human capital. SEC's flagship project is envisioned as an axis of empowerment in building entrepreneurship community that will transform Saudi Arabia into entrepreneurial center of excellence. It offers customized and tailored programs in promoting entrepreneurship that creates awareness among young Saudi entrepreneurs on building the climate of information, idea incubation, knowledge-based skill enhancement for qualified Saudis. The move is aimed at acquiring local skills and with global perspective of entrepreneurship through SEC strategic partners in public and private sectors. Saudi Entrepreneurship Community encourages economic and social enterprises that develop skills, self-reliance and community involving young entrepreneur to enhance, innovate project targeting entrepreneurship. One of the ground-breaking initiative by SEC and specifically by Sheikh Dr. Al Taji is to facilitate the Women Specialized Acumen Fund to maximize Saudi women entrepreneurial potentials.
