Abdul Latif Jameel to host Real Madrid Youth Camp

JEDDAH — In one of the most exciting sports programs ever to be held in Saudi Arabia, Abdul Latif Jameel Co. is hosting a Real Madrid Youth Camp in Jeddah for two weeks from Jan. 16 to 31. Currently, a two-week selection process is underway to choose 160 boys in the age group 7 to 16 years.
“Every year the Real Madrid Foundation organizes a youth camp in a different city around the world and we are thrilled that Abdul Latif Jameel has been chosen to host the event in Jeddah,” said Eng. Adel Ezzat,
Managing Director of Marketing at Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ).
“Real Madrid doesn't just play football, they inspire, and we consider it a great honor to partner one of the world's greatest football clubs to provide the children and youth of Saudi Arabia with this once-in-a lifetime opportunity to enhance their football skills with training by Real Madrid's internationally renowned experts.”
Speaking at a press conference to mark the event, Sr. Joaquin Sagues, General Manager of Real Madrid Foundation, said: “We know that football is the most popular sport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and it is our great pleasure to bring our annual youth camp to the beautiful city of Jeddah where Real Madrid has thousands of fans — or Madristas, as we call them.”
Joaquin Sagues went on to say: “It is always a joy to see the enthusiasm of young hopefuls as they hone and practice their skills under the watchful eyes of our professional trainers and, of course, we shall be on the lookout for any kid who shows outstanding talent to become a Real Madrid star of the future.”
Real Madrid Youth Camp football training activities include individual and collective technical and tactical skills applied to different field zones, and an intramural football tournament.
