JEDDAH — “Zoom Zoom Kids Entertainment”show was held on Friday, Dec. 7 at a local restaurant here. The show was attended by children and their mothers. It was organized by Mona Khan, a community worker and events organizer. Munawarunissa Nazneen, a social worker and a freelance journalist, presided over the show and spoke about early childhood care and development. She shed light on the importance of parent-child coordination for the development of a child, adding that quality time spent with children will never be wasted, in fact it would shape their future. The show, designed with activities keeping children in mind, featured kids fashion show, dance performances, standup comedy, singing, solo acting, educational games, face painting, among others. The program kicked off with the recitation of a few verses from the Qur'an by Rida Salman from Dar ul Tayibaat followed by an eulogy by Saad and Zaki Osama from International Indian School, Jeddah. The hall echoed with the Saudi national anthem when Zahid Syed Mohammed Pasha of Global International School marched on stage in traditional Saudi clothes waving the flag. Mehmood Hassan Qureshi of Jeddah Prep and Grammar School, Rohan and Fozan Tariq of Thamer International School, Waiz Mirza and Abduallah Fardin of Al Waha International School, Sadiq Saddiqi of Madrasa Al-Ryyad, Kubra Bituri of Al Muheet International School, Zara Khan of Al Wadi International School, and Malaz and Sadie Sadiq enthralled the audience with their spectacular dance performances. Girls aged between five and 10 sashayed on the stage during the Girls Fashion Show round. The Kids Science Lab by Milli Dew conducted science quiz, live scientific experiments, and fun games related to the subject. There were also giveaways of Zoom Zoom tshirts, goody bags, candies and special gifts from sponsors. It wasn't only children who had all the fun at the show, mothers too had a wonderful time playing musical chairs, participating in lucky draws, and strolling across stalls shopping for Asian dresses, jewelery, among others. Some stalls setup at the show were Pakeez outfit by Qurath Masood, Maria Boutique by Maria Qurashi, Leena's Cuppy Cakes by Abeera Sheraz, and Al Humd textiles by Sabiha.
