? ?RIYADH – The Shoura Council has approved the draft AIDS prevention law that aimed at protecting rights of those affected with the deadly disease. The law prevents all forms of discrimination and exploitation against AIDS patients. The council also started deliberations on the draft law for ?running real estate offices.? ?Fahaad Al-Hamad, assistant chairman of the council, said an overwhelming majority of members voted in favor the AIDS prevention law.? ?There are 29 articles in the law, including the one that warns government and private hospitals against denying treatment to AIDS patients. There are also provisions to work out a national program to effectively implement preventive measures, health care programs in addition to extending prompt treatment for those affected by the virus.? ? The law also calls for fulfilling rights of foreigners affected by AIDS before their deportation.? ? The Shoura also approved the draft law for the municipality's solid waste management. — SG?
