Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak co-chaired talks held on Friday between the two countries. During the talks, the two sides discussed Arab, Islamic and international developments, including those of the Palestinian issue, Iraq and Sudan, in addition to Saudi-Egyptian relations. The talks were attended by the official delegation accompanying King Abdullah, Egyptian Premier Dr. Ahmad Nadheef and a number of ministers. King Abdullah and President Mubarak support strengthening Saudi-Egyptian economic relations and integration in various fields, Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohammad Rasheed said in a statement. Rasheed said that trade between the two countries would increase in the future, adding that a Saudi industrial area in the province of 6 October, on an area of 1.5 million square meters, will accommodate petrochemicals, food and textiles projects. He said the infrastructure of this area would cost up to $750 million.
