The Specialized Medical Center Hospital in Riyadh has just implemented an IP telephony solution from Mitel. The solution, built on the Mitel Communications Director Platform, has been designed to enhance communication across the Hospital and with members of the public, and is expected to deliver significant savings through streamlined maintenance and management, and lower call costs. Located in the heart of Riyadh, the SMCH provides over 450 inpatient beds and over 140 outpatient clinics. Through Mitel softphones, the staff will have access to a range of rich call handling and telephony features including unified messaging, allowing them to access voice messages from anywhere across the hospital. The platform will also form the basis of the Hospital's new centralized contact center operation, providing agent and supervisor tools to drive productive interactions with callers, alongside real-time and historical reporting available to monitor operational efficiency. The Mitel solution was installed by Nesma Advanced Technology, which is also responsible for the Hospital's IT infrastructure. Mohammad Bazaraa, GM, Nesma Advanced Technology said, “Our focus is on delivering innovative solutions that provide organizations with a platform to drive efficiencies and effective communication.” — SG
