Knicks rout Pistons to end losing streak

NEW YORK — Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points in just 32 minutes, and the New York Knicks ended a two-game losing streak with a 121-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons Sunday.
Steve Novak added a season-high 18 and JR Smith had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks.
Brandon Knight scored 21 points and Charlie Villanueva had 17 for the Pistons, who have lost six straight games at Madison Square Garden.
Rasheed Wallace scored 15 points against his former team, and Raymond Felton had 14 points and 10 assists as the Knicks beat the Pistons for the fourth straight time. Wallace was back after missing a game with a sore left foot.
Spurs 111, Raptors 106: Tony Parker scored six of his 32 points in the second overtime, Tim Duncan had 26 and the San Antonio Spurs beat Toronto for the fourth straight time.
Manu Ginobili scored 15 points, Danny Green had 13 and Boris Diaw 11 as the Spurs won their third straight and improved their NBA-best road record to 7-1. Parker made jump shots on consecutive possessions with less than 1:15 to go in the second overtime as the Spurs held on.
DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 29 points, while rookie Jonas Valanciunas had 22 for the Raptors, who have lost their past three games by a combined seven points.
Nets 98, Trail Blazers 85: Deron Williams had 15 points, 12 assists, four blocked shots and three steals, leading Brooklyn to a victory over Portland. Joe Johnson scored 21 points and Brook Lopez had 15 for Brooklyn, which has won five straight games at Barclays Center. The 6-1 beginning on the new home court is the Nets' best start since the 2002-03 season when they won 18 of their first 19 at home.
Wesley Matthews scored 20 points and J.J. Hickson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who were without LaMarcus Aldridge. The All-Star forward was out with a stiff back.
76ers 104, Suns 101: Jrue Holiday had a career-high 33 points and 13 assists, leading the 76ers over the Suns. Evan Turner scored 16 points, Lavoy Allen had 11 and Thaddeus Young 10 for the 76ers, who snapped a two-game losing streak. The Sixers (8-6) haven't dropped three in a row all season.
Michael Beasley led the Suns with 21 points while Marcin Gortat added 18.
Sebastian Telfair scored 12 points, Jermaine O'Neal had 11 while Goran Dragic and Luis Scola had 10 each for the Suns (6-8), who had won two in a row.
Celtics 116, Magic 110, OT: Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Paul Pierce added 23 points and Rajon Rondo was one rebound shy of a triple double with 15 points and 16 assists as Boston outlasted Orlando in overtime.
The Celtics won their second straight and earned their sixth consecutive win over the Magic. They return home Wednesday for a pair of home games, beginning with Brooklyn.
J.J. Redick scored 21 and Jameer Nelson had 20 for the Magic, whose loss snapped a two-game win streak.
Orlando led by as many as seven in the fourth quarter, but had 19 turnovers.
Nuggets 102, Hornets 84: Andre Iguodala scored 23 points, Kenneth Faried had his eighth double-double of the season and the Nuggets beat the struggling Hornets.
Faried had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Denver, winners of four straight.
Ty Lawson had 17 points and six assists for the Nuggets who are 4-1 at home. Reserve Brian Roberts led New Orleans with 17 points. Ryan Anderson added 16, but was held scoreless in the second half.
