JEDDAH — The security forces in Jeddah caught four members of an African gang while they were trying to snatch an amount of SR180,000 from a customer who came out from a bank. The four-member gang was under surveillance when they tried to empower the man to snatch the money. Initial investigations showed that the thieves used to wait for their targets near banks. First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq, Jeddah police spokesman, said the instructions of the Ministry of Interior make it mandatory for companies' cashiers to be escorted by a guard when they go to the banks to deposit or withdraw huge sums of money.
