To help young hearts meet, Crown Prince Sultan has donated SR4 million to the Charity Organization for Marriage. Some 571 couples will benefit from the donation. “The great step that Prince Sultan took is not new, his generosity to help the Saudi society is well known,” said Abdulmohsen Al-Khayal, head of the board members of the charity organization. The news of a donation from the Crown Prince was welcome of relief because we need to help Saudi couples,” said Mohammed Al Shigity, financial supervisor of the organization. Due to a recent lack of funds many couples had to be placed on a waiting list by the organization because the group marriages were not possible with the available funds. The donation will allow the organization to plan group marriages once again. “When I heard about this, I felt as though it was the best news I've heard in my entire life,” exclaimed Hayat Bukhari, a prospective bride on the waiting list who received a call telling that financial support was ready for her marriage. Abdul Rahman Eid registered on the day of the Crown Prince's donation. “When I submitted (my request) I was informed I was on the waiting list, but it was before they knew about the donation,” Eid said. “Now because of Prince Sultan's donation I've got the financial support.” __
