Police seized large quantities of scrap metal in two separate operations. Police arrested two Pakistanis when they discovered a walled area filled with scrap metal in Jeddah's Al-Baghdadiah District. The two expatriates stored large quantities of metal scrap acquired from unidentified sources in the walled area before selling it. Police also confiscated large quantities of street lampposts, refrigerators, air-conditioners, windows, and doors. They also seized four large trucks carrying scrap iron. The arrested workers were handed over to the concerned authorities for investigation. In another incident, police arrested illegal workers at a warehouse containing large quantities of electricity cables of unknown origin in Al-Gurayyat District. Authorities summoned the warehouse owner, who could not present any documents to show the source of the cables. – Okaz __
